Joe has spent 35 years building business and enjoying the creative process of delivering innovation to world markets. Joe was CEO of Breville Group for 17 years where he built a world-class research and development team, which has provided the platform for Breville’s continued international success.
Joe views Embertec’s energy efficiency technology as an elegant solution and supports its long-term business potential.
Domenico is the CEO of Embertec. He founded the company in collaboration with his father, Tony, and is the passion and driving force behind the development and commercialisation of the company’s energy efficiency technology. Domenico has a Bachelor of Economics from Adelaide University.
Ray is a member of the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation Board in Queensland and CEO-in-Residence and Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Business at the Queensland University of Technology. Ray is also a former CEO of Rothmans Holdings Limited and Managing Director of Castlemaine Perkins Ltd. He is currently the Chairman of the CEO Institute in Queensland and advisor to various high-profile companies.
Since completing his computer science doctorate at the Australian National University, Andrew has worked in high tech research and development, start-up management, investment banking, institutional portfolio management and venture investing in Australia, the US and Hong Kong.
Andrew has played a key role in raising funds for start-ups, serving on their boards, helping to manage their growth and structuring and negotiating public and private transactions. Andrew is the Executive Director of Playford Capital.
David is a results-focused and experienced business leader, working across the fast-moving consumer goods, e-business and media industries in the areas of business development, marketing and commercial management.
David has previously worked with two successful global start-up businesses – he grew a small liquor agency business into a strategic asset for a global group and he turned around the fortunes of a struggling media company.
Damian has proven planning and management experience during his 25-year career across the retail, manufacturing and defence industries.
Damian has held leading finance roles in publically listed companies and in start-up businesses and has been a key player in winning multimillion-dollar contracts. He holds an accounting degree from the University of South Australia and a MBA from the University of Technology, Sydney. Damian is a CPA.
Kevin is experienced in intellectual property protection and commercialisation. After a career in engineering and IT with Telstra, Kevin qualified as a patent attorney with Australia’s oldest firm of patent attorneys. He then worked in-house with a start-up company in the heavily regulated medical devices field.
Kevin has an engineering degree and an MBA from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Industrial Property from UTS, Sydney. Kevin is a registered patents and trademarks attorney.
